      Queen Elizabeth N.P. North

      Add Primates to your Safari

One of Uganda’s most popular parks Queen Elizabeth National Park has enormous biodiversity with savannahs, bushlands, wetlands, and forests. Home to 96 species of mammals, including hippos, elephants, lions, leopards, chimpanzees, hyenas, and lions. Over 600 bird species can also be found in the park, which offers a classic big game viewing that can be paired with Uganda’s primate trekking for a comprehensive single-country safari experience. The northern part of the park offers boating cruises along the Kazinga Channel offering beautiful water-level views of the park, and wildlife along the shoreline. The wide, long natural channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward, both nurturing and attracting scores of wildlife. Enjoy sightings of hippos, elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, and many varieties of the park’s plentiful birdlife, including black bee eaters, several kingfisher and falcon species, African skimmers, great white and pink-backed pelicans, yellow billed storks, open-billed storks, saddle bill storks, cormorants, darters, black crakes and jacanas and more.
